Google Bard preparing to compete with ChatGPT, will get a big upgrade, Pichai revealed

Google’s recently released chatbot, BARD, is about to get an upgrade. Google CEO Sundar Pichai has revealed this in the New York Times Hard Fork Podcast on Thursday. During the episode, he was asked about the Bard and admitted that it had some weaknesses.

Pichai said that Bard would move from the LaMDA model to the larger PaLM model. That said, we clearly have more capable models. Very soon, probably as soon as it goes live, we’ll upgrade Bard to some of our more capable PaLM models, which will bring more capabilities, whether it’s in reasoning, coding.
